Chicago Rib House, the restaurant that is famous for serving the Best Flame Grilled St Louis Pork Ribs, Steaks and Beef Ribs has finally set foot in the heart of Penang Island.

It is under the same umbrella group as Tony Romas in Malaysia. If you love Tony Romas, the ribs and steak at Chicago Rib House is equally good!

Looking into the interior of the restaurant, it has a dining hall and a bar in the right corner serving a wide range of imported beers.

We kick of our food review with the Cosmopolitan, a recommended cocktail from the manager.

Cosmopolitan RM22.90

You can find Cosmopolitan in the list of Martinis, Lemonade & Teas. It is classic Martini made with vodka, Cointreau and Cranberry juice.

Besides serving alcoholic drinks, they also provide alcohol-free mocktails for their guest.

For the appetizer, we go for the Trio Sampler which consists of Chicken Tenders, Potato Skins and Fried Mushrooms matched with Ranch dressing and Honey mustard.

The potato skin was crispy and tasted good with the honey mustard while the fried mushrooms were tender and moist with its batter still crispy.

Next up, we were introduced to some of the most popular entrees in Chicago Rib House, the BBQ Pork Ribs, Steaks and Beef Ribs, which are grilled with the signature Chicago styled BBQ Sauce to perfection.

St Louis Pork Ribs Half Rack RM30.90 | Full Rack RM45.90

Succulent and meaty pork ribs basted with Original or Red Hot BBQ sauce. Served with your choice of two sides. This is a must try!

10 oz Rib Eye RM45.90

Natural marbling makes this one of the richest, flavorful steaks anywhere. The Rib Eye Steaks also consist of quality corn-fed. Served together with the steak is a baked potato filled with some cheese and cream.

Smoky Jack Ribs & Steakhouse Set Lunch Review

We have all heard of Smoky Jack for it's unique interior design and romantic expensive dinners, but have you wonder, how what's in there for lunch?

What surprise me is their interesting set lunches. We thought it is a very expensive and romantic dining place, but during lunch Smoky Jack's set lunch is as cheap as RM 15.80+ ! We had a great time dining there, so let's check it out.

There are few types of set lunch served; from as low as RM15.80+, RM18.80+, and some between RM23.80+ to RM28.80+

Smoky Jack's Set Lunch serves main course with fresh salad or soup of the day as starter and also the in house dessert. When we were there last week, we have a complimentary drink and garlic bread too.

The portion is enough for all of us. It was a complete meal with bread, soup or salad, main dish and desserts.

Taste: 6/10
The taste is normal for western food. Among all the main dish we had, our favorite is the Chicken Pasta.

Service: 7/10
Friendly crew.

Value for money: 8/10
GREAT! Look at all the side dishes, drinks and desserts we had complimentary from the set lunch.

OVERALL
A good dining experience, for lunch. All of us enjoyed ourselves with a full tummy.
